Overview:
The Blue Velvet Shrimp is a stunning freshwater dwarf shrimp known for its rich blue colouration and active behaviour. Its vibrant tones range from soft sky blue to deeper velvet hues, making it a beautiful addition to planted aquariums where it contrasts nicely against green plants and natural décor.

Hardy and adaptable, this shrimp is an excellent choice for both beginners and experienced aquarists. It spends most of its time grazing and exploring, adding constant movement and interest to the aquarium.

Care and Feeding:
Blue Velvet Shrimp do best in stable, well-established aquariums with gentle filtration. Provide plenty of hiding places such as moss, plants, driftwood, and rocks to support natural behaviour and reduce stress, especially during moulting.

They are omnivorous and will feed on biofilm and algae naturally present in the tank. Supplement their diet with high-quality shrimp food, algae wafers, and blanched vegetables such as spinach or courgette. Occasional protein-rich foods can also be offered in moderation.
